Interwaas Sint-Gillis-Waas

Soil remediation of a former sludge waste deposit, located in Sint-Gillis-Waas. This area contains highly contaminated sludge that was once used to cover waste dumps, back in the 1980s. Toxic layers of these brownfields are being removed and the entire area is levelled again with uncontaminated soil.

This area will be transformed into a golf course once the renewal process is finished. The already existing Wase Golf will connect to this site, resulting in a full-size 18-hole golf course.
